MARKETING AND PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR

Premium Events is seeking a part-time Marketing and Promotions Coordinator to execute promotional and marketing activities. This position requires an individual who has a genuine interest in events and community initiatives. There is a lot of growth opportunity, and the freedom to be creative in this role.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for producing content for company social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest

  • Create promotional materials for special community initiatives

  • Be active in the development of Premium Event’s YouTube channel


  • Capture video and photos at special events for the purpose of sharing on social media platforms and blog


  • Photo booth operation for special events

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Advance skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, including Adobe Premiere and/ or Final Cut Pro

  • Familiar with using Hootsuite/ Later

  • Strong video and photography skills, including editing

  • Strong writing and editing skills is an asset

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Creative web and graphic design experience

  • Event and/or product photography and videography experience

  • Recently completed or is considering to pursue a diploma/degree in Photography, Videography, Media Studies, Media Arts or any other related academic program   

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong organizational and tracking skills with great attention to detail

  • Level headed problem solver

  • Valid Driver's Licence 

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

Funding for this position is provided by Canada Sumer Jobs. Only applicants who meet the criteria below will be considered for employment.

 

Applicant must be:

 

  • Between the age of 15-30 at the start of employment

  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

  • Have a valid social insurance number at the start of employment and legally entitled to work in Canada

 

COMPENSATION

$17.00/hr

JUNIOR EVENT COORDINATOR AND FLORAL DESIGNER

Premium Events is seeking a part-time Junior Event Coordinator and Floral Designer to support with the planning and production of events and community initiatives. This position requires an individual who has a genuine interest in events and local community. There is a lot of growth opportunity, and freedom to be creative in this role.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop critical paths and production plans

  • Book and process vendors and order necessary supplies and equipment

  • Manage venue décor/setup

  • Purchase flowers and design floral arrangements

  • Support marketing efforts and volunteer outreach

  • Support administrative duties as assigned

 

SOFT AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Strong people skills

  • Experienced in using Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong communication and written skills

  • Great attention to aesthetic detail

  • Video and photography skills, including editing is an asset

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in indoor/outdoor event design

  • Flower design experience

  • Recently completed or is considering to pursue a diploma/degree in Public Relations, Event Management, Travel and Tourism, Interior Design, Creative Arts or any other related academic program   

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Able to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously

  • Strong organizational and tracking skills with great attention to detail

  • Level headed problem solver

  • Valid Driver's License
